Looking forward to this long awaited trip :)

Long updates

Thur
Met up with yanfang, mich n yile to prepare n rehearse for e song activities. Had lunch then headed to library. I felt e 4 of us sang our hearts out :p FUN FUN! Then we went for e combined class rehearsal. TV02 n TV05. So we e so-called "instructors" guided e class n taught them e actions. Things went pretty smoothly except that i ran up n down to ask e clerk mdm noriah to help me print e lyrics. Not only that, she even went to help us to connect my notebk to e speakers. Without her help, I would hav to print e lyrics outside, cut it myslef n stuffs. Such a nice lady where to find? Anyway, I did return some flavour by assisting her at e counter. Returning e journal n grp assignments to e students. Eveyone tot I was being paid. LOL Must rem get a her a present frm SH :)

After rehearsal, we went to consult suzuki abt our assignments. We laughed, chatted n gossiped. Can't be help it's e trademark when e 6 of us get toge. Ha ha Did some catching up w terence. He said e operators in SH called to make changes in e itinerary. Told him this kind of last min changes can't be help. E golden rule is to adapt =D Btw it's great to hear frm him tat my GPA is healthy. It's e best reward for any students. Dun u agree?

Then, we went TM to shop for mickey mouse cap, thei lip balm, batteries etc n went to check out e outo roaming services at M1. Ended e day with sorethroat cos we sang n TALKED too much. And shoulder ache cos i carried my notebk for like e entire day.

Fri
Went ah ma hse to help her insert insulin into e syringe cos aunt busy w work recently. It's so nice of her to prepare lunch for me early in e morn. E food taste GREAT cos it's filled with love n warmth :) ha ha Then i left to meet stef n jx to pass HL e present. It's a misunderstanding due to my recently forgetfulness.

1.30 Went travel fair held at suntec w stef n her mum. Auntie's planning a one-day trip on 30th april (which is a sunday, the next day is public holiday May day) to DESARU fruit farm anyone interested to join? It's $68 per pax. Not too sure if my mum wans to go cos i'm sure she would prefer to go durin e durain season(i noe her too well) :)

Headed to tamp to meet e gals for dinner. We had a long time deciding wat to eat. In e end, we ate at teppan-yaki. No idea why stef and i had great appetite today, we were so shocked tt we finished the whole bowl of rice first. Mayb it's becos i ate my brunch at 10 plus LOL! Yw n ade joined us ard 7 plus. Great catching session despite ps n i being bullied by yw. No offence to say in here :p ha ha

I'm so thankful to god for allowing so many NICE ppl to appear in my life :)

the birth of my 1st laptop

HEY! I jus got a laptop yest with e help of my aunt n uncle :)
So now i can do my proj, surf e net orin fact do anything
without having to fight with my bro n sis *GRINS*

First intention is to get a MACBOOK PRO but tat promoter recommended me to get a powerbk instead. coz MACBK PRO is new in e market since they jus released it.. then e software design students use like eg. illustrator, freehand etc haven't catch up with e MACBK PRO. He also suggest me to wait for 1 year when all e software catch up with MACBK. And we need to install all softwares we need to use.. illustrator itself cots abt $130 so imagine we need 10 software in e future? It will cost me at least 1K.

So troublesome :( so decided to get a normal laptop gd for graphics.SO in the end got a acer travelmate 3280 which has 'graphics by ATI mobility radeon'.

Human shl learn to be less greedy =)
anyway.. have been busy transfering my proj, photos frm e destop to laptop. But i still in need of software like microsoft word n ppt. Asked ard since yest but nobody has it leh.

I think it's going be so rush for me. Need to get all laptop stuff done b4 i leave for Shanghai on sun so tat i can use it for my 2 proj once i return. Luckily, i'm almost done packing my luggage. Spent sat morning itself to pack, double check wat i miss out n stuff. And i even came up with a to-bring list :) ha ha

In e meanwhile,i still need to go down to funan to collect my my free 40 GB. Get another cushion cover for my lappy n a bag to ferry my 2.3 kg laptop ard frm hm to sch. Anyway carreid it frm PS bach hm yest. It's a strain to my right shoulder. I think i'll get used to it soon :) Lots of things need to be done b4 i leave man. Late nights.. here i come!

Updates

Finally done with e pre-trip jouranl n grp report. All thanks to yongyi for his help :) Will be free for e time being but once i return frm Shanghai i'll need to work on 2 projs with really tight deadlines *gosh* Projs seems nv ending for me :p mayb it's a gd thing bah. HA HA

Btw I feel great recently. Manage to catch up with e gals, buddies, get over n done with my projs despite my busy schedule.

A PERSON CAN BE HAPPY DESPITE BEING A BUSY PERSON :)

It's been great taking up global citizenship. I think my personal perspective and mindset have change for the better. Honestly, its been one of the most fun loving, greatest class I have ever been in. Maybe its just the unfortunate accidental fact that we design students do not get classes that stick through together.I love the class spirit and the class people.

There is that ever forgetful and noisy bunch of girls Yan fang, Yile, Michelle, Diana and Ai leng. My cooperative group members Yongyi and Andy and our lovely tutor Mis Suzuki san. I am actually feeling quite sad that this subject is coming to an end soon..


But nvm i'm sure we'll have a GREAT time in Shanghai :)

As are really surprises,
the one that shocked me was sociology.
despite my utmost fear for the subject,
deep conviction that i left my studying brains in secondary school
afterall, i guess credits goes to terence :)

Improved by 0.4 =)
Actually nothing to be happy abt
as I only took 5 sub while e rest took 7 sub in total
I think one shl learn to be content and dun ask for more

But it's definitely a must to strive harder and acheive my goal in the coming sem.

HOW DUMB CAN I GET?
I didn't read the instruction clearly and thought that we need to write a 1,200 words per pre-journal entry. I was thinking so many words how to write? But managed to squeeze my brain cells and wrote whatever I could think of. Then eil msg me on sun and i told her the 1,200 words limit which is the wrong one. And I only knew the correct word limit when stefanie told me during the break on mon.


GC lessons have been interesting. But I'm jus not used to waking up early to attend sch everyday. Today, terence shocked me when he's goin thr one of the point then he went:"Samantha, what do u think"? I think i was half-asleep at that moment. Didn't think abt e question. Jus shake my head and smile back to him immediately. So paiseh lah. I'll change that bad habit of mine.

OCP in Yunnan

Email from moses;

SAA will be mounting an overseas community project in Yunnan from 1-19 Apr 06. The project involves community service work in two village schools in Cuiyun and Lancang in Yunnan. To-date, there are some 20 students who have signed up for it.


If your students would like to participate in this trip, do let Kyle know. Due to requirements as issued by the project sponsor, only students who are Singaporean and SPR need apply. As the trip can be physically taxing, students who love Nature and the outdoor are preferred. Do note that the co-payment scheme would require that student participant pays about $350 for the trip.
