Happy Nui Year (:

Visiting, receiving Hong Baos (red packets), eating lots of Chinese New Year goodies and many rounds of steamboat. Simply enjoying this long weekend break and how i wish i could have a longer break! The thoughts of going back reminds me of the amount of work. I hope I'm not going to stay back so late like last week.

Botanic Gardens

Ooh. Finally a DSLR after eyeing for 2 1/2 years! The long awaited camera (: Invested in this expensive hobby with mr siew. We went on a photo shooting trip today and it was so much fun! But it's struggle to shoot in manual mode, am glad that it's helping me to refresh my memory of those technical settings which i've learnt during year 1. We're still learning, perhaps alot more learning. From mistakes and more practices until we both gain the confidence (: I don't know why but I'm feeling happy that we're doing this together.

Shall post the photos later. I'm gonna finish e 3 logo designs tonight first!

Went out to get a new curtain this morning, wanted to get a plain one initially but i dislike the cream color. So got this a lil contemporary looking one instead. My mum sure gonna say why buy black color again!

As you can see my room is still pretty much in a mess :/ Shall find time to do a final spring clean! Thanks stef for the dried orange roses, shall find a better place to keep it (: Work has been piling up and im sure cny gonna be a busy period. Had a presentation yest and followed by 2 discussions with CD, was 100% drained out by the time i head to bed. Gambatte!

New desk

Finally gotten a new desk to replace the old one last weekend (: Have a larger working area and it's spacious to for a mac and the other half of e table to do some reading up and art n craft. I realised my mac, hardisk, mouse, phone, radio all blend in well with the new desk (: Thanks drew for helping me with the fixng and all. On a lighter note, we almost wanted to refund the desk and forget about it as we had problem squeezing it into his car! Thankfully we didn't give up trying (:

Decided to introduce my toys who sit beside the imac at work. Pooh from love sometime serves as a punching bag and the cactus a farewell gift from gab (another very close designer of mine) Shall get more cactus sometime soon!

Woke up as early as 7 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep aft that. It's a happy feeling to wake up so early (: Doing nothing but enjoying the cool wind and the 'small' sea view from the living room. It has been so windy recently! And on a site note, work has been great lately (: Shall stay positive this way.. Going to get ready before meeting up with bestfuls (:

TP Alumin Night 09

took many photos all over the place yest night, but i'm all glad to see our batch of sports club main com there. it's been a while since the swensen night at T3. Miss TP and how i used to spend so much time in club room and SAA, and how often i see uncle sam, yeuan huei, terence, hwee hoon, celine, bee foong (will always rem her ta ta... and always stepping on yh's feet) and the friendly cleaner auntie!

Good to see them again, just a pity uncle sam is no longer with the dep. Let us just hope yest night will not be a farewell, keep staying in touch. And I wanna thank my boy for being so sweet. He came all the way from PR to fetch the pasirian home. Thank you love (:

咖啡的故事

Remember this story?

A group of graduates, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Their conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee, the professor said:

"If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the simple and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases, it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... Then you began eyeing each other's cups."


Havent been feeling too great for the past week. Couldn't get to sleep even though my body is tired and find myself waking up in the middle of the night. But this article made me think about and reflect upon a number of things and it made me feel alot better.

I came to a conclusion that it all boils down to our attitudes towards life and how we choose to live it. Some choose to be happy. Some choose to be sad. Some choose to face the problems while some choose to run away from everything. Some prefer the relax way of living life; easily contented with little goals. While others live with big dreams to fulfill.

No matter how unfair life may seem to be sometimes, always remembers the happiest person do not have the best of everything. She just make the best out of everything.

Everything is gonna be alright.

Had a little house warming over at uncle sam's place. It was an eye opener for us and I couldn't help but fall in love with his apartment. I like the way he brings a quiet sense of calm into strenuous everyday live. N his concept of simplicity and how lively his apartment was with a touch of nature. The cute figurines some collected from other countires, little plants, pebbles and seashells... that's so him!

How i also wish to wake up every morning, wash up and sit by the balcony reading the papers. Soak yourself in wind under the blue sky and enjoy the breakfast before heading out for work. How fabulous can this be?

Had a good chat with dear and kaiwen, talking about future and making plans. Later part of the tea party, I asked sam if i could stay on and not go home. Otherwise a short weekend stayover is also good enough. So silly :P

Maybe it's a new year or due to the influence of his apartment, I'm feel more motivated to work towards my goals in life and also own a place like this in the near future. Going to overcome what obstacles that come along. Let's hope for a better year and may my dream to come true (:

It's already a whole new year yet I've just started posting the xmas photos :p Enjoyed the many xmas parties in the 08. Thanks the 3 couples for taking time out to organize the party. It must have been lots of preparing and cooking. Thanks for the presents and Merry Christmas to all!
